Jet Nuij heropent de deuren van Atelier in de Stad met een verlenging van haar werkperiode. Tot en met 4 oktober zal ze regelmatig bezig zijn in de ruimte, waar ze onder andere oude werken uit haar opslag in nieuw daglicht opstelt. Nuij werkt onder andere met textiel, analoge diaprojecties en cyanotypie, maar ook de verhalen en texturen die ze verzamelt in haar omgeving gebruikt ze als materiaal.
Zet alvast in je agenda: 22 augustus van 19:00 tot 21:00 zal er een publieksmoment plaatsvinden waar Jet werk presenteert. Houdt onze website of nieuwsbrief in de gaten voor meer informatie.

In de avond van 14 februari sluit Valentijn Schmitz zijn werkperiode af bij Atelier in de stad.

We are pleased to announce that Emile Hermans has been selected from all applications from the open call to become the artist in residence at Greylight Projects in Heerlen for two months starting in March.
The selection committee consisted of Anna Ozanne (curator / art writer) & Mikail Koçak (artist / graphic designer) , Frank-Thorsten Moll (director IKOB Eupen), Donya Saed (artist), Germaine Sijstermans (musician / artist) and Joséphine Kaeppelin (artist / member of Greylight Projects).

Roy Voragen (Heerlen, 1974) is dichter, schrijver en curator.Hij studeerde politicologie en filosofie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, na zijn afstuderen verhuisde hij in 2003 naar Indonesië, in 2017 verhuisde hij naar de Filippijnen en eind 2019 keerde hij terug naar Nederland. Hij is curator en redacteur bij het in Manilla gevestigde onderzoeks- en publicatiebureau Kwago (https://isipkwago.carrd.co/). Als dichter richt hij zich op de materialiteit en belichaming van talen. Hij probeert - en slaagt er niet in - de stilte te laten stotteren in tegenstrijdige massa's.
