Roy Voragen (Heerlen, 1974) is dichter, schrijver en curator.Hij studeerde politicologie en filosofie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, na zijn afstuderen verhuisde hij in 2003 naar Indonesië, in 2017 verhuisde hij naar de Filippijnen en eind 2019 keerde hij terug naar Nederland. Hij is curator en redacteur bij het in Manilla gevestigde onderzoeks- en publicatiebureau Kwago (https://isipkwago.carrd.co/). Als dichter richt hij zich op de materialiteit en belichaming van talen. Hij probeert – en slaagt er niet in – de stilte te laten stotteren in tegenstrijdige massa’s.

He studied political science and philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, after his graduation, in 2003, he moved to Indonesia, in 2017 he moved to the the Philippines and in late 2019 he returned to the Netherlands. He is curator and editor at Manila-based research and publishing lab Kwago (https://isipkwago.carrd.co/). As a poet, he focuses on the materialities and embodiment of languages. He tries – and fails – to make silence stutter into contradictory multitudes.
