Artist are invited to submit video works to be shown during the Performing Landscapes event at IKOB in Eupen. All submitted videos will be added to the Out of the blue database. The selection and composition of the video programme will be done by an algorithm. In the intermediate moments when no video has been selected, a blue screen is displayed awaiting the next selection.

For this open call, video works can be submitted that match the theme of the festival. The theme of the Performing Landscapes festival focuses on the uniqueness of the Euregio-Maas-Rhine region and the diverse landscapes that converge here. Artists are invited to submit responses to the complexity of this region, where border politics, post-industrial ruins and the confluence of different landscapes are inherent to the cultural and social fabric. 

• Videos may include sound and will be shown on a widescreen (16:9) screen.
• Deadline: 30 August (midnight)
• Extended deadline: 1st of September (midnight)
• Screening dates: The OUT OF THE BLUE presentation will be on 2 September 2023, throughout the “Performing Landscapes” Festival at IKOB Museum in Eupen.
• Video size is 1920 x 1080 pixels.
• Video duration can vary from 1 second to a maximum of 10 minutes.
• Slideshows or single images are allowed, provided they are in mp4 video format.
• The video format should be mp4 (use Handbrake to convert it to mp4, default settings).
• Add the title of the work and your name before the video (3 seconds). Use this template (PDF  or PSD) for this purpose.
• There is no guarantee that your video will be selected by the algorithm.
• Send video files to us with a file transfer service. Direct the transfer to outoftheblue@greylightprojects.org and note the title and your name to it.
• If you encounter any problems, please contact us: outoftheblue@greylightprojects.org.
• Make sure the file name has this format: NAME ARTIST – TITLE – YEAR.mp4
• There is no age, gender or location restriction.
• There is no submission or display fee.
• Inappropriate content will be removed without notice.

Greylight Projects nodigt kunstenaars uit om videowerken in te zenden die getoond kunnen worden tijdens het Performing Landscapes evenement bij IKOB in Eupen. Alle ingezonden video’s worden toegevoegd aan de Out of the blue database. De selectie en de samenstelling van het videoprogramma worden gedaan door een algoritme. In de tussenmomenten als er geen video is geselecteerd, wordt er een blauw scherm getoond in afwachting van de volgende selectie.

Voor deze open call kunnen video werken worden ingezonden die aansluiten bij thet thema van het festival. Het thema van het Performing Landscapes festival is gericht op de eigenheid van de Euregio-Maas-Rijn regio en de diverse landschappen die hier samenkomen. Kunstenaars worden uitgenodigd om zich te verdiepen in de complexiteit van deze regio, waar grenspolitiek, post-industriële ruïnes en de samenkomst van verschillende landschappen inherent zijn aan het culturele en sociale weefsel. 

• De video’s kunnen geluid bevatten en worden vertoond op een breedbeeldscherm (16:9).
• Deadline: 30 augustus (middernacht)
• Vertoningsdag: De OUT OF THE BLUE presentatie is op 2 september 2023 tijdens het Performing Landscapes festival bij IKOB in Eupen.
• Videogrootte is 1920 x 1080 pixels.
• De duur van de video kan variëren van 1 seconde tot maximaal 5 minuten.
• Diavoorstellingen of enkele afbeeldingen zijn toegestaan, op voorwaarde dat ze in mp4-videoformaat worden geplaatst.
• Het videoformaat moet mp4 zijn (gebruik Handbrake om het naar mp4 te converteren, standaardinstellingen).
• Voeg de titel van het werk en je naam toe vóór de video (3 seconden). Gebruik hiervoor dit sjabloon (PSD of PDF).
• Er is geen garantie dat je video wordt geselecteerd door het algoritme.
• Stuur videobestanden via een bestand verzend service naar outoftheblue@greylightprojects.org met vermelding van de titel van je video en je naam en evenvtueel aanvullende informatie.
• Als je problemen ondervindt, neem dan contact met ons op: outoftheblue@greylightprojects.org.
• Zorg ervoor dat de bestandsnaam deze indeling heeft: NAAM KUNSTENAAR – TITEL – JAAR.mp4
• Er is geen leeftijds-, geslachts- of locatiebeperking.
• Er worden geen aanmeldingskosten of vertoningskosten in rekening gebracht.
• Ongepaste inhoud wordt zonder voorafgaande kennisgeving verwijderd.
