Greylight Projects en het schrit_tmacher Festival presenteren een Talk & Walk met Yoojin Lee, de nieuwe gastkunstenaar van de gezamenlijke residentie 2026. Tijdens deze artist talk vertelt Lee over haar artistieke praktijk en het onderzoek dat zij ontwikkelt tijdens haar residentie bij Greylight Projects, in dialoog met het festivalprogramma.
Yoojin Lee werkt op het snijvlak van performance, installatie, tekst, geluid en video. In haar werk onderzoekt zij hoe tijd wordt ervaren en belichaamd, en hoe trage processen — zoals rust, slaap en luiheid — kunnen functioneren als vormen van aandacht, zorg en subtiel verzet. Haar praktijk richt zich op interdependentie en symbiose: de manier waarop lichamen, materialen, geluiden en micro-organismen met elkaar verweven zijn en samen tijdelijke ecosystemen vormen.
Tijdens deze Talk & Walk licht Lee haar project slowth (habitats) (yet) toe, waarin zij een tegenwicht biedt aan de versnelling van het dagelijks leven en ruimte maakt voor andere temporaliteiten en vormen van samen-zijn. De bijeenkomst biedt inzicht in haar onderzoek en vormt een introductie op haar aanwezigheid binnen het schrit_tmacher Festival. Aansluitend is er ruimte voor gesprek en uitwisseling met het publiek.
Over de residentie
De residentie is een samenwerking tussen Greylight Projects en het schrit_tmacher Festival en richt zich op onderzoekende artistieke praktijken die de relatie tussen beeldende kunst en dans verkennen. Yoojin Lee start haar residentie begin januari 2026. Haar eindpresentatie vindt plaats op zaterdag 28 maart 2026, tijdens het laatste weekend van het festival, eveneens bij Greylight Projects.

Greylight Projects and the schrit_tmacher Festival present a Talk & Walk with Yoojin Lee, the new guest artist of the 2026 joint residency. During this artist talk, Lee will introduce her artistic practice and the research she is developing during her residency at Greylight Projects, in dialogue with the festival.
Yoojin Lee works at the intersection of performance, installation, text, sound, and video. In her practice, she explores how time is experienced and embodied, and how slow processes—such as rest, sleep, and laziness—can function as forms of attention, care, and subtle resistance. Her work focuses on interdependence and symbiosis: the ways in which bodies, materials, sounds, and microorganisms are entangled, forming temporary ecosystems.
During this Talk & Walk, Lee will elaborate on her project slowth (habitats) (yet), which offers a counterbalance to the acceleration of everyday life and opens up space for alternative temporalities and modes of being together. The event provides insight into her ongoing research and serves as an introduction to her presence within the schrit_tmacher Festival. The talk will be followed by an informal exchange with the audience.
About the residency
The residency is a collaboration between Greylight Projects and the schrit_tmacher Festival and focuses on research-based artistic practices that explore the relationship between visual art and dance. Yoojin Lee will begin her residency in early January 2026. Her final presentation will take place on Saturday 28 March 2026, during the last weekend of the festival, also at Greylight Projects.
