Studio presentaties: Kaya Erdinç, Marcus Kaiser en Jet Nuij
(NL) Ter afsluiting van de residentieperiode organiseert Greylight Projects op 28 mei de studio presentaties van Kaya Erdinç en Marcus Kaiser. Beiden werkten vanuit verschillende plekken en op verschillende manieren aan hun praktijken. Op deze dag toont Kaya een videoinstallatie met betrekking tot het verhaal ‘A Silent Sjtil’ welke hij afgelopen maanden heeft geschreven. Marcus zal een installatie presenteren in de toren van het GTB lab in Heerlen. Beide residenties zijn georganiseerd in het kader van de eerste Reading the Region Research Residencies programma: een samenwerking met Ludwig Forum Aachen en onderdeel van het Very Contemporary netwerk.
Daarnaast zal Jet Nuij, de huidige resident in het Atelier in de Stad, een performance uitvoeren. In haar werk laat Jet Nuij zich leiden door maatschappelijke gebeurtenissen of herinneringen aan gebeurtenissen. Zo zal ze tijdens deze performance gebruik maken van eerder werk; protestborden.

(EN) To conclude the residency period, Greylight Projects is hosting studio presentations by Kaya Erdinç and Marcus Kaiser on May 28. Both worked on their practices from different places and in different ways. On this day Kaya will show a video installation related to the story ‘A Silent Sjtil’ which he has been writing for the past few months. Marcus will present an installation in the tower of the GTB lab in Heerlen. Both residencies are organized in the framework of the first Reading the Region Research Residencies program: a collaboration with Ludwig Forum Aachen and part of the Very Contemporary network.
In addition, Jet Nuij, current resident at the Atelier in the City, will perform. In her work, Jet Nuij is guided by social events or memories of events. For example, during this performance she will use previous work; protest signs.
