‘Do you feel lucky today?’ is an ongoing project by Greylight Projects developed for the global market and presented on various art fairs. It consist out of a pedestal with a red button on to which is standing in an empty white exhibition booth. The audience is invited by the gallery assistants to push the red button after the payed a small amount (like five or ten euro (The price is depending on the current market demand). By doing so, they bought an art piece. Only the client doesn't know yet which art piece or by which artist. By pushing the red button they activate an algorithm that selects a work out of the database and it will be printed on the inkjet printer that is placed in the pedestal. After printing it will be framed by the gallery assistants and handed over to the lucky...

Esther de Graaf (1984) lives and works in Groningen. Her sculptures are made of cardboard, aluminium foil and iron wire. She makes lightweight fragile sculptures and builds them up based on organic structures. They often take on a monumental sculptural form. Esther uses the least possible material and connections that are necessary to keep it standing, and makes as much form as possible at the same time. The fragility of the junctions are visible and one has the possibility to see exactly how it is made.
