Wat betekent het om een autonoom kunstenaar te zijn wanneer de huren torenhoog zijn? Voor wie of wat werken wij als kunstenaars en kunstwerkers, buiten de waarderingssystemen die we kennen uit subsidieaanvragen? En misschien wel het belangrijkste: hoe vinden we een collectieve stem te midden van precariteit?
Het Artist Support Network (ASN) nodigt je uit voor een vrij gesprek met Alina Lupu, waarin zij haar eigen traject als kunstenaar zal delen: van de bezuinigingen van 2011 tot haar huidige praktijk als samenwerker, activist, schrijver en bestuurslid van Platform BK. Platform BK is een door kunstenaars geleide, ledenorganisatie die de rol van kunst in de samenleving onderzoekt en zich inzet voor beter kunstbeleid.

What does it mean to be an autonomous artist, when rents are sky high? Who or what do we, as artists and art workers, work for outside of the systems of valuation we find in our subsidy applications? And perhaps most importantly: how do we find a collective voice, in the midst of precarity?
The Artist Support Network (ASN) invites you to a free-flowing talk with Alina Lupu who will be sharing her own trajectory as an artist, starting from the budget cuts of 2011 towards her active practice as a collaborator, activist, writer and a Platform BK board member. Platform BK is an artist-led, member-based association researching the role of art in society and taking action for a better art policy.
